#36alive 343: Volunteer for Crisis at Christmas

While Christmas can be a fun time of year to spend with friends and family, some people aren’t so lucky.

More than 300,000 people in the UK are recorded as homeless, for these people Christmas probably isn’t an exciting time of year. There is something that you can do about it though.

‘Crisis’ are the national charity for homeless people and they run a scheme titled ‘Crisis at Christmas’. This is a chance to volunteer over the Christmas period to help homeless people. There are many ways this can done, you can give haircuts (if you’re qualified of course), provide transport, help with catering, provide entertainment amongst many others.
