While writing yesterdays post with regards to keeping a food diary, I thought about a way that can help easily identify how your diet is going (and by diet I don’t mean one of these fad diets, I mean everything that you eat).
A simply way to do this is to write down everything that is real whole foods in one colour, and write down everything that is processed in another. For example, if I were to have some porridge for breakfast I’d write it in blue, then if I were to have a Big Mac for lunch I’d write that in red. Eventually, I’d want the red pen to last a lot longer than the blue because I won’t be using it half as much. See exhibit A below….
As I said yesterday, if you happen to notice that there is a lot of red pen then don’t beat yourself up over it, simply try and improve everyday, if you have a bad day, just make the next day a good one.
